It is a saddening but true fact in the world that half of all marriages fail. For whatever the driving force of the final split up is, most divorces start with both sides not wanting to withstand the difficulties in their relationship. Millions of couples get a divorce every year. It is disheartening but even more so because these divorces could have been prevented with a bit more communication and effort from both sides. Keeping up the romance and affection is not always easy, but it will be necessary to save your marriage.

It is only natural for couples to have misunderstandings and arguments once in a while. Once a couple makes the move to live together, they both discover each other's individuality. Once unseen differences will arise and create conflict. In the best case scenario, the couple would calmly sit down and take the time to work out their problems in the most beneficial way possible. But life is not always a best case scenario. More often than not, we find ourselves in a worst case scenario.

Now we come to the main point of this article. How does a couple save their marriage in just one week? It won't be the easiest week but given the right amount of effort and persistence, it can be the best decision you have ever made.

First off, don't ask a question if you know it will invoke a negative response because that will only throw your relationship in the wrong direction. Don't put the other side on the defensive because nobody likes to but put in that situation. It will never be a good experience if those questions are asked. If trust has become an issue in the marriage, the one side tends to analyze the other's every move.

It is not the easiest thing to do in the world to keep it to yourself but it will only help. Once false accusations are being made, it is hard to recover. Only until you have credible evidence can it be brought up.

Secondly, just love your partner unconditionally. Remember why you married in the first place. No matter the imperfections or limitations, just loving your spouse will pay dividends in the future.
